What if something happens to my excess baggage on route?

OK, so you have packed your shipment to the best of your ability but you are still a little concerned about your excess baggage.

Your Air services are automatically covered by International Airlines, they have a limited liability of USD $20.00/kg between the airport of departure and airport of arrival for loss or damage.

Shipping lines offer no such cover. Both shipments are carried on the basis of “shippers risk”. Which means it is the responsibility of the sender to insure their shipment for loss or damage.

Should you want the peace of mind, or feel the value offered in the event of a mishap by either service isn’t enough…then ask World Baggage about a ‘marine transit insurance’ policy.

Please Note
You will need to complete an itemized inventory per bag/box with the nominated value per item.
